Fort Collins, Colorado has become home to many modern industries as well as Colorado State University. Large corporations such as Hewlett Packard and NCR have plants in the area. There are also job opportunities in the telecommunications, transportation, tourism and high tech manufacturing fields. The business boom isn't the only thing going for Fort Collins. World class skiing in this northern Colorado town attracts a large number of visitors every winter. The mountain scenery and vast number of outdoor recreational activities draw crowds during the summer. Residents and visitors alike enjoy over 300 days of sunshine and a mild climate year round. Because of the large student population and young median age of 28 years old, Fort Collins has a fun nightlife and plenty of restaurants and bars. There are six breweries in the area, including Anheuser-Busch, and plenty of museums, galleries and places to shop. This growing area is becoming the place to live and with affordable housing prices, students are able to stay.
